Extension of period for Goods whose Warehousing period has expired but not on the Auction List

​This is a process where an appointed clearing agent applies to the supervisor warehousing to extend the period for goods whose warehousing period has expired but not yet auctioned.
This applies to a period after 270 days or 9 months. For applicant less than 270 days, can still get a balance of their days free of charge up to lapse of the 270 days.

Step by Step Guide on Extension of period for Goods whose warehousing Period has expired but not on the Auction List.
Step 1.
The clearing agent makes a request to the supervisor warehousing.

Step 2.

A task is assigned to an officer who makes an assessment of 1% of the value of the goods in the warehouse.

Step 3.

The clearing agent makes the necessary payment to the bank.

Step 4.

On approval of payment of such fees, the request is registered on form A and forwarded to the supervisor warehousing.

Step 5.

On approval the supervisor will forward the request to the desk where the request was made from and picked by the clearing agent.

Step 6.

The Clearing agent will proceed to make a declaration on the URA system (ASYCUDA World).
